Holloway & Crane Catalogue Stores
RedM stores with no menu. Your players read a real catalogue book at the counter.

Overview
Your players don't open a menu. They walk up to the counter, take the store's catalogue book in their hands, and turn real pages. It uses the game's own catalogue book, with its page turns and hands, printed with our own art: covers, 41 engraved goods, department pages and period adverts. Runs on VORP. The HUD and inventory shown are from our own server and aren't included. Selling back at the counter and butchers need other scripts of ours, so they stay off on a plain VORP server.
What's inside
A real book
The game's own catalogue, with its page turns and hands. Whoever stands near sees the reader holding it and turning its pages. One reader at a time at each counter, with a time limit.
13 counters
General stores and gunsmiths across the map, with clerks who greet you and speak the game's own lines.
Traders without a book
Doctors, 9 saloons and 2 bait shops on a sheet in the game's own look.
A living shelf
Stock runs out, prices rise as a shelf runs low, and wagons restock every 30 minutes.
Each town its own
Different goods and different prices by town, and buying in one town to sell in another never pays.
Opening hours
By the game's clock. A shut store has no clerk and no book, and the prompt says when it opens.
Server-side
The server works out every price and every sale. Money goes through a ledger with a till for each store, and a failed hand-over refunds the money.
Yours to change
Prices, stock, hours and goods are in open config files, and the catalogue tools let you make your own pages.
